As I write this, a new president is making ready to do great things in the White House and on capitol hill...... HOPEFULLY! I voted for President Elect Obama and am proud to say so. For the past 8 years I and others both gay and straight, have suffered at the hands of a man with no idea of what he was doing to this ONCE great country and just did not seem to give a HEdoubletoothpicks either! George Bush is one of those guys who has in the course of his administration, has managed to undo everything his father and other better Presidents had done!
Now on the eve of a new administration, we stand at the brink of financial collapse, people still losing their homes and jobs drying up at 1000 a minute! But, the fat cats are still collecting as much of our hard earned money as possible thru these so called bailouts! The events of the last 48 hours are testament to that reality! If Citi Group "Can't Fail" because it is soooo huge...then why the heck do they need a bailout???? Just one more way to sock it to the taxpayers before you leave office heh George? I'm waiting to see in what other ways Mr Bush will concoct steal our money before he gets kicked out of his position on January, 20th!
But rest assured, George W Bush will have no idea as to why history will be so unkind to him in the future. This man has no clue and no conscience as to the way he's destroyed this country. He's stolen his election and took all he wanted in both money and young lives in the wars HE started and we are now left to pay for, dearly!!!
I for one am not sad to see this man ousted and the republican candidate to continue his "good/bad works" defeated so handily. Maybe...just maybe... President Obama can get this country turned around and make some since of the disaster he's been left with.
It won't change overnight, but when George W Bush is gone, Things will have already started in the right direction!!!
